Estate Planning

Estate planning is the process by which a person plans for his or her incapacity and death. Generally, estate planning includes the preparation of powers of attorney for finances and healthcare, advance directives for end of life issues, and wills and trusts to control the administration and distribution of assets.  Additionally, because many individuals have retirement plans, life insurance and other types of assets with beneficiary designations, estate planning requires the coordination of these assets with the individuals will and/or trusts.
